Two inspiring Fylde Coast Charities, Aspired Futures and Fylde Coast Women's Aid have received Easter Eggs donated by our Glasdon Charitable Giving Committee for another Easter treat this year.
Aspired Futures are a Blackpool based charity that provide life-changing therapeutic services for the most vulnerable children, giving them the chance to gain skills with tailored services to support each child. They also provide daily activity sessions where the children can experience music, drama, sports, art and cooking, as well as providing social time with other children, staff and volunteers to help develop interpersonal skills. Safe transport is also provided to ensure the weekend sessions are accessible to all. As the work they do is vital to the young people that come to Aspired Futures, many of which are from chaotic family backgrounds, any bit of help and support from individuals or local businesses will go a long way.
Fylde Coast Women’s Aid (FCWA) are an organisation that supports women, men, young people and children to live their lives free from domestic abuse.FCWA support their service users through court proceedings, offering peer support within the community and providing temporary refuge accommodation. They also offer education and information around the online dangers and risks to women, children and young people as well as recovery work with those ready to move on. More recently they have extended their remit to support men who have been in an abusive relationship. In a gesture to show how appreciated these two charities are by the local community, Glasdon donated Easter Eggs for a second year running to both charities for all the service users and children involved to enjoy.
