For another year running, we replaced sending corporate Christmas cards with donations to two local charities focused on making a difference to local lives all year round.
Charitable giving is important to us and, especially as it's the season of goodwill, we wanted to ensure that any money which would be otherwise used to send season’s greetings would instead be used to help people in our local communities.
Fylde Coast Women’s Aid are a voluntary organisation which supports women, men, young people and children who have experienced or are still experiencing domestic abuse, and helps them live their lives free from the abuse, safe and supported.
Care & Share – Blackpool are a family and friends group who encourage the public to donate their unwanted clothes, bedding, gifts and other useful items which can be redistributed to families in need.
The Care & Share saying “Charity begins at home” resonates with us, as we know that even a small gesture of help can make a bigger difference than we may think.
Both local charities received £500 each which we hope will give a helping hand to all their hard work as selfless, voluntary charities.
