We play an active part in supporting the communities in which we operate. As part of our efforts to be a socially responsible company, we make donations, offer sponsorships and gift our products to charities and community groups.
Our employees are also active volunteers and fundraisers. We aim to encourage our staff in these endeavours and will always support any member of staff who wishes to undertake personal challenges for charity.
Our Charitable Giving Committee meets monthly to consider which activities we wish to support. These activities are funded by Glasdon Group Limited and matched by a generous personal contribution from our Chairman, Donald J Sidebottom MBE, FCIHT.
As part of our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, we also offer all staff members the opportunity to have one day per year, paid, where they can undertake volunteer work for a local charity. These "away days" ensure staff are able to experience volunteering for various local projects they are passionate about and help support the local community. Examples of initiatives staff will be getting involved with include tree planting, beach and river cleans, leaky dam building, river sampling and wildlife surveys, and we encourage everyone to get involved who is committed to this area of conservation.
